Boch Center’s Teen Leadership Council
Hiring 18 Teen Leaders specializing in an area of the performing arts (dance, music, or acting) to use the arts for social change in their communities. Teen Leaders will work collaboratively to create an educational performance and arts-based workshop on a social justice theme. The Teen Leadership Council will tour their professional, educational performance in various Boston communities for 2-3 performances per week in March and April. Teen Leaders will deepen their facilitation and job readiness skills; engage Boston residents in meaningful dialogue about a social justice topic; and operate as change agents in their communities.







Schedule: 10 hours per week Ages: 15-18 years old Wage: $11 an hour

Are you interested in gaining experience in landscape stewardship? Do you enjoy spending time outdoors and like the idea of exploring National Parks? If so, our staff is interested in hearing from you! During the program, participants will: Explore subjects related to the environment, tree care, plant science, carpentry, and masonry. Participate in training workshops including plant ID, tree climbing, creating potting soil,  propaga¬tion, and composting. Develop public speaking and leadership skills.
Contribute to indoor/outdoor field projects. Recreate outside by hiking, snowshoeing, and more!

Schedule: 6-10 hours per week; October – April Ages: 15+ years old Wage: $12 an hour

The Designery is YouthBuild Boston’s hands-on architecture and design program for high school teens.  Intern Designers develop their design skills through a team-based approach to real-world architecture problem solving.  Students will receive a weekly stipend for participating in the program which involves designing and building a project to benefit their community.

Artists For Humanity’s (AFH) Youth Arts Enterprise employs Boston teens to work with a variety of art media.Creative studios include: Painting, 3D Design, Graphic Design, Video & Motion, and Photography.Working in collaboration with artist/designer mentors, teen apprentices learn new skills, make art using a variety of media and provide creative design services for business clients of AFH. No artistic experience is necessary, just passion for being creative and learning on the job - all while earning experience and money!

It’s back to school time and that also means that the GRLZ Radio Fall session is approaching! To refresh your memory of what GRLZ Radio is, it's s a youth leadership and development program in Dorchester, and we hire teen girls for positions at our online radio station, blog and social media/youtube channel. The commitment is 3 times per week (after school hours) and each participant receives a stipend for participation. The program starts October 29th!

Youth Leadership Program Do you enjoy working outside with your hands, spending time in nature and learning about the environment?  If so, the Youth Leadership Program is for you!

The Youth Leadership Program is a workforce development program that enables high school students from Boston and Brookline to become effective and reliable youth leaders and employees through working in the Emerald Necklace Parks. The program combines park maintenance, career exploration and environmental education activities.  From November through April, 10 youth crew members meet after school for a total of 7.5 hours of part-time, temporary employment each week.

CSTO's Teen Program is looking for enthusiastic and passionate young people between the ages of 14 - 19 to work in our Media Makers internship this summer! 



We are currently offering the following internship tracks for the Fall 2018 Cycle:
1. Media Makers Internship In this 12-week internship program, Teen Interns learn about Photography, Filmmaking, Graphic Design, and Spoken Word Poetry through a social justice lens. Youth will learn about various social issues affecting their communities and how they can use media making to shine a light on these issues.
Media Makers will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4-6PM, beginning the week of September 24, 2018.
2. Film Curators Internship In this 12-week internship program, Teen Interns learn how to critique and analyze film and media, while gaining professional experience in planning and hosting community-focused events at CSTO. Interns will plan and host two events throughout the course of this internship.
