Youth Leadership Program Do you enjoy working outside with your hands, spending time in nature and learning about the environment?  If so, the Youth Leadership Program is for you! The Youth Leadership Program is a workforce development program that enables high school students from Boston and Brookline to become effective and reliable youth leaders and employees through working in the Emerald Necklace Parks. The program combines park maintenance, career exploration and environmental education activities.  From November through April, 10 youth crew members meet after school for a total of 7.5 hours of part-time, temporary employment each week. Employer : Paddle Boston   Employer Overview: Paddle Boston (Charles River Canoe & Kayak)  provides Kayak, Paddleboard, and Canoe rentals in the Boston area. Students can apply for full-time or part time Dock Staff positions at any of the four locations ( Cambridge, Boston, Waltham and Newton). Two positions:   FIELD TEAM MEMBER (10 spots available)   AGE: 15-18    DESCRIPTION: Introductory field experience engaging young people in landscape stewardship. Activities are hands-on, outside, and can include gardening, trail maintenance, constructing walkways and pathways, and tree climbing. Students work at a variety of parks.
