Artists for Humanity

Artists For Humanity’s (AFH) Youth Arts Enterprise employs Boston teens to work with a variety of art media.  Creative studios include: Painting, 3D Design, Graphic Design, Video & Motion, and Photography.  Working in collaboration with artist/designer mentors, teen apprentices learn new skills, make art using a variety of media and provide creative design services for business clients of AFH. No artistic experience is necessary, just passion for being creative and learning on the job - all while earning experience and money!




 Schedule: Tuesday – Thursday 3pm-6pm (9 hours per week)
 Ages: 14+ years old
Wage: $11 an hour (AFTER complete unpaid apprenticeship hours)

Steps to apply: 
1) attend open house tour (dates listed on website), 
2) Orientation and Interview, 
3) Get Job Offer, 
4) complete 36 hour UNPAID apprenticeship in Painting Studio, 
5) start paid position in one of creative studios (listed above)

Two positions:   FIELD TEAM MEMBER (10 spots available)   AGE: 15-18    DESCRIPTION: Introductory field experience engaging young people in landscape stewardship. Activities are hands-on, outside, and can include gardening, trail maintenance, constructing walkways and pathways, and tree climbing. Students work at a variety of parks.
