Schools Eligible: All schools

Grades Eligible: All grades. 16+. 18+ to work evenings

Wage: $14.41/hour

Hours/week: Varies

Schedule: If students are under 18 they will work morning/afternoon shifts varying from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. If students are over 18 there are night shifts available.  

Important Dates:
May 23rd: Application due
Week of May 28th: Interviews with The Catered Affair
First Day: tentative, and flexible based on hiring date- looking for students to start ASAP
Last Day: flexible

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Barista
The Catered Affair is looking for a dynamic, passionate Barista to work in our Copley Square café, Newsfeed Café.

Job responsibilities include:
* An unwavering sense of pride and dedicated to customer satisfaction
* Barista duties
* Completing point of sale transactions
* Opening and closing the café
* Completing checklists
* Restocking and maintaining café cleanliness
* Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
* Previous high end café experience is desired.
* Qualified candidates will have 1-2 years proven experience in a high end café setting.
* Serve Safe and Allergen certification a plus.
* English fluency required.

Host/ess
Job responsibilities:
* Opening and/or closing the restaurant and café
* Providing excellent customer service
* Answering the telephone and making reservations
* Completing cash or credit card transactions and cash reconciliation

Requirements:
* English fluency required
* Must be reliable, organized and efficient
* TIPS and ServSafe certification a plus

Two positions:   FIELD TEAM MEMBER (10 spots available)   AGE: 15-18    DESCRIPTION: Introductory field experience engaging young people in landscape stewardship. Activities are hands-on, outside, and can include gardening, trail maintenance, constructing walkways and pathways, and tree climbing. Students work at a variety of parks.
