Employer Overview: Paddle Boston (Charles River Canoe
& Kayak) provides Kayak, Paddleboard, and Canoe rentals in the Boston
area. Students can apply for full-time or part time Dock Staff positions at any
of the four locations ( Cambridge, Boston, Waltham and Newton).
Schools Eligible: All schools
Grades Eligible: All grades, 14+, but prefer 16+
Wage: $11/hour, plus tips
Hours/week: Hours vary, but students must be willing
to work weekends and holidays.

Important Dates: Applications will be accepted on a
rolling basis until positions are filled. Paddle Boston opens May 5th
and closes on October 9th.
Job Description:
DOCK STAFF IN CAMBRIDGE, BOSTON, SOMERVILLE, WALTHAM AND
NEWTON

Responsibilities:
o
Helping customers on the dock with canoes,
kayaks, and gear, including the loading and unloading of boats off storage
racks and boat trailers
o
Showing clients basic paddling technique.
o
Some positions will include indoor work such as
using a cash register.
o
Talented, qualified, and motivated dockhands
have potential for advancement to Dock Supervisor.

Requirements:
o
Applicants must be polite, responsible,
friendly, hard-working
o
Able to lift 50 pounds.
o
Full- and
part-time positions are available April through October.
o
Must be available on weekends.

Starting Pay: $11/hour + tips
