What is the Financial Services Pathway Program?
- A series of after school workshops to help students gain valuable skills for work in banks, insurance companies, and financial services companies.
- Workshops will take place mainly on Wednesday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:45 and will be held in the PIC downtown office, Microsoft Prudential Center, and at businesses around Boston.
- Students who participate in the program will have a chance to use their skills in higher level internships at companies like State Street, Fidelity Investments, and Santander.
- This program is available for all students interested in exploring careers in banking, finance, or accounting.
What will workshops cover?
- The basics of personal finance, including how to invest and save for college.
- Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Touring different workplaces within financial services, including a bank branch, a bank’s central office, and a large investment firm
What’s in it for me?
- Gain valuable technology skills and an understanding of personal finance to apply to your own lives and make better financial decisions
- If you attend 10 of the 13 offered workshops, you will have first priority for summer internships with financial services companies
- Each week, the PIC will provide snacks and drinks for all participants
How do I sign up?
1) See your Career Specialist and let them know that you are interested.
2) Fill out an online application
3) Then, plan to attend the first workshop on November 7th !
